Description

Petit Manseng is part of the greatest sweet grape varieties. Its natural acidity balances the freshness and the sweetness. Being late-harvested, the overripe grape gives the wine flavors of candied fruits. The different cuvees of sweet Pacherenc varieties are made, depending on the harvest time (October, November or December), and which names are those of the French revolutionary calendar: Vendémiaire, Brumaire, Frimaire. The Pacherenc du Vic Bilh wines from Château Bouscassé come among the greatest sweet whites in the world.
