About
In 1648 Locatello Locatelli received 300 fields in the area close to Cormons named “Langoris” from Ferdinand III, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire (at that time, this region was part of the Asburgic Empire), for merits gained in the Thirty Years War. Four centuries have passed since then, and the Tenuta di Angoris, just outside Cormons, continues to take care with dedication of its 630 hectares of fields and woods, and Villa Locatelli, the historic villa, heart of the company and custodian of the tradition. Marta Locatelli renewed in the latest years the wines and the image of the Tenuta di Angoris: following the guidance of his father Luciano, who knew how to lead the company with the same entrepreneurial spirit started in 1968 by his grandfather Giulio, Marta is taking care of this land and enhancing expertly its fruit.
The hilly area north of Cormons consists of undulating and cozy terrain where the woods and the vineyards are treated with extreme care. Wherever you are, in this little corner of Friuli, you can sense the deep relationship that binds man to his vineyard and to his territory: here, the pace of life is marked by the cycles of nature, and not by the clock. In this area you can discover the intensity of silence, refind the sounds of the leaves touched by the wind, of the birds singing on the branches and of some distant church bells. Walking in the open air, you can feel the smoke comes from a nearby farm, the rocky ground beneath your feet and the fresh of the grass. The grapes used for the production of the Angoris line come from vineyards on the hills of the Tenuta di Angoris: Stabili della Rocca in the municipality of Premariacco and Ronco Antico in the municipalities of Dolegna del Collio and Cormons.
