About
Antiquum Farm is an idyllic scene from a time before the introduction of modern farming. Flocks of sheep and geese contentedly graze the vineyard hillsides throughout the growing season. Hens vigorously scratch out weeds while searching for grains scattered under vines. The flocks are watched over by faithful guardian dogs, Opal and Dewey. The entire grazing-based system requires no fertilizers, composts, tilling, or irrigation. The terroir of the vineyard is not altered or compromised by outside influences. Farming this way is more than a way of growing wine. It is a way of life.
