Founded in 2010 by former DeLille Winemaker Chris Peterson and retired Microsoft marketing executive Marty Taucher, Avennia was named the Best Emerging Winery in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine’s 2015 wine awards, as well as Winemaker of the Year in 2017 by Seattle Magazine. The winery is passionate about creating award-winning wines that pay homage to the Old World while clearly expressing Washington’s top terroirs.
