The story of Maison BILLECART-SALMON began in 1818 in the village of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ when newlyweds Nicolas-François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon founded their Champagne House with Elisabeth’s brother Louis Salmon, a passionate oenologist and winemaker, by their side. Today the House is still family owned, being run by the sixth and seventh generation. In its Bicentenary year, the House still enjoys a worldwide reputation for excellence combining both tradition and modernity.
