About
The Rutini family winemaking heritage began in the early 19th century in Le Marche, Italy, where Francisco Rutini started making wines for the citizens of his native town, Ascoli Piceno. After getting a degree in Oenology, his son, Felipe Rutini, emigrated to the Americas to extend the winemaking tradition, and it was in Mendoza, Argentina where he planted his first vines. Towards the end of 1885 he began the construction of a winery, which he named La Rural, with the motto "Labor et Perseverantia" (Work and Perseverance). His first and primary concern was always quality.
