About
Situated in Calitzdorp, Boplaas has been owned by generations of the Nel family. They have tended vines & crafted wines since 1880, the same year Boplaas sent the first export consignment of its brandy to London. Today, the 6th generation has joined the business. Boplaas is a pioneer & leader in the production of Cape Port & Portuguese variety table wines - the MSc subject of winemaker Margaux. Her father cellar master Carel, is a member of the esteemed CWG. Daughter Rozanne heads up marketing & is assisted by her brother Daniel who is also responsible for distilling the range of fine spirits
