Buitenverwachting means ‘Beyond Expectation’. The estate forms part of the original Constantia wine estate and is situated on the east-facing slopes of the Constantiaberg. Overlooking the blue waters of the False Bay, barely 12km away, an ideal location for cool climate, non-irrigated vineyards. The rich ochre and red granite soils make Buitenverwachting a part of probably the most suitable viticultural area for Sauvignon blanc and other elegant noble varietals. The beauty of the Cape, combined with the exceptional cuisine and hand-crafted wines makes the estate a place where the true meaning of Buitenverwachting “Beyond Expectation” can be experienced.
