About
Castello di Meleto is a sprawling 143 hectares estate in Gaiole in Chianti, one of the historic wine producing villages of Chianti Classico. From 2012 Castello di Meleto is enhancing Gaiole in Chianti's native grape varieties, this is the reason why we use only Sangiovese for our Chianti Classico, Riserva and Gran Selezione. We are currently in the process of converting from a certified and integrated sustainable farming method to complete organic farming. Upon certification in 2021 we will become the largest organic winery in Chianti Classico area.
