About
Founded in 1778 under the reign of Louis XVI, the Company Frerejean Frères was at the forefront of the industrial production of cannons. During the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars, the company Frerejean Frères shone in the defense of the Champagne region to repel attacks against the Prussians in Champagne.
The Frerejean-Taittinger brothers grew up with the love and respect of the Champagne tradition. In 2005, Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe founded their own Champagne House in the heart of Champagne region, Avize. Autonomously and independently, to fulfill their vision of producing exceptional and authentic cuvées, with a unique expertise given to the Chardonnay using only Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards from the prestigious Cote de Blancs is a tribute to their passion for this historical terroir.
In keeping with our heritage, the Champagne Frerejean have a very unique Burgundian style, with a parcel approach with some parcel being between 40 to 90 years old, only with Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. All our wines go through full malolactic Fermentation and a minimum of 6 years on the lies before disgorgement. We also use a very high proportion of reserve wine, matured in ex Burgundy oak cask, making our Champagne very opulent, complex and generous.
