Château de Chaintres is an entirely certified (EcoCert) organic vineyard producing Saumur Champigny (red) from Cabernet Franc, Saumur (Chenin Blanc), and Sparkling wines on a 17th-century monastic vineyard.
Certified organic (EcoCert) from 2013. Under the direction of a new head winemaker, Jean-Philippe LOUIS, new vineyard practices including some Biodynamic principles were implemented in 2018 and continue to evolve in this direction. When possible, our wines are increasingly sulfite-free throughout the winemaking process.
We are not currently represented in the UK market.
