About
The Cravanzola wine farm is located in the Roero, an area of hills and valleys lying in southern Piedmont. The winery itself stands in Castellinaldo d’Alba, just a few kilometres from the town of Alba. Also located in Castellinaldo are the estate’s major resource: the vineyards, scattered here and there over the hills: on the westerly side, the Arneis and Nebbiolo varieties prevail. Opposite towers a long, steep hillside planted mainly with Barbera. Finally, climbing up to the north-east stands the great hill named Bricco del Conte, where the finest slopes are set aside for the growing of the Nebbiolo destined to become Roero DOCG.
