Description
Bright crimson in appearance. Cassis, rich choc, dried herbs and subtle Cedary aromas. Dark and ripe fruits, framed by supple tannins and complimenting oak.

Vinification
Fruit is picked and fermented in small Potter fermenters for 6-7 days. The wine is then pressed, settled and matured in a combination of new and used American oak barrels for 12 months before botteling
Vineyard
The majority of the fruit is grown at De Bortoli's own Freemans Bridge vineyard located in the Northern parts of Heathcote along with Dixons Creek and Brooklands vineyards located in the Yarra Valley.
