DE KRANS WINES, situated in Calitzdorp in the Klein Karoo on the R62, is recognized as one of the best "port"-style and Portuguese varietal wine producers in South Africa.The flagship wines from De Krans are the Tritonia White (blend of Malvasia Rei and Verdelho) and Tritonia Red Calitzdorp Blend (from 4 Portuguese varieties). De Krans also produces varietal wines from Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz. It also produces a very good quality Wild Ferment Chardonnay, Free Run Chenin Blanc, White & Red Moscato Perlé, Pinotage Rosé and a Basket Press Cabernet Sauvignon, all at competitive prices.
