About
Dveri-Pax is a mid-sized winery producing around 300.000 bottles at 74 ha in north-east Slovenia in Štajerska-Slovenija district just south of Austrian Südsteiermark region. The owner of the winery is Admont abbey from Austria, which at the end of previous century got back some of the properties taken back after WW2. The first vintage was 2002, so we are rather new winery, which started from scratch. Nevertheless, the old records from Admont abbey testify that the monks have grown grapes at the very place back in 1139.The owners have invested heavily in the vineyards and the cellar which is one of the most modern in the country and the investments are still in place. Our aim is to remain one of leading Slovenian wineries regarding quality.
