Moenchberg Grand Cru Pinot Gris Marc Kreydenweiss 75cl 2018
Description
Located in a basin facing South sheltered from the winds and severe weather, the Pinot Gris imposes itself on this marl-sandstone land very rich in ice age sediments. A unique situation, which the Benedictines of the Altdorf Abbey had chosen in 1097 for the cultivation of their vines, hence the name Moenchberg.
Made from a blend of directly pressed juice and juice from a one-week maceration of whole bunches of grapes, this complex and straight Pinot Gris is ideal for gastronomy. It's a dry, salty wine with beautiful tannins vinificated in demi-muid during 12 months. Dry wine.
