Pine Ridge Vineyards Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Description

Pine Ridge Vineyards has been a leader in crafting iconic Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Stags Leap District since 1978. The Stags Leap District’s moderate temperature, influenced by the San Pablo Bay, leads to slow, even fruit development. The majority of our four estate vineyards are densely planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varieties on steeply terraced hillsides, resulting in very low yields of intensely flavoured grapes.

The berries were hand harvested at night, and then carefully sorted and destemmed to tank, where fermentation took place. The wine was racked to 100 percent new French oak barrels, where it was aged for 27 months prior to bottling.

The wine displays beautiful aromatics of black cherry, blackcurrant and liquorice alongside earthy undertones. Rich mouth-filling flavours are well balanced with juicy acidity. Good structure and complexity with a silky, lingering finish.
