<p>Quinta da Alorna is a Portuguese winery from the Tejo wine region. It combines a long tradition of wine growing and modern winemaking techniques. The estate was established in 1723 by D. Pedro de Almeida, viceroy of India and the 1st Marquis of Alorna. It has now the largest vineyard of the Tejo region (220 hectares), a wide variety of grapes and several nationally and internationally recognized wines. In 2013 the Winemaker of Quinta da Alorna, Martta Reis Simões, received the award of best young winemaker of Portugal by W Awards. Quinta da Alorna exports around 50% of its production to 28 markets such as US, UK, Sweden, Netherlands, China and Brazil.</p>
