Vinification
Characteristics of the vintage: The 2019 season was characterized by the absence of frost and rain in the spring, which benefited the correct maturation of the plants and their correct harvest date. However, this lack of water generated slightly austere wines in the aromatic profile, but more concentrated and complex in the mouth.
Vineyard
This Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Fundo El Rosal vineyard, located next to our winery in the Tapihue sector. The quarters are planted in north-south orientation. Thanks to the climatic conditions of the Casablanca valley, the aromatic expression of citric fruit and its rich acidity make it very characteristic of the area where it is produced. What we are looking for is a wine with a lot of fruit that represents both its strain and where it comes from. The soils are granitic with a frank texture, low in superficial organic material. The yield is handled at around 12 tons per hectare. The plants from which this Sauvignon Blanc is obtained are from 1999 with trellis system and drip irrigation and corresponds to clone 5.
