Description
The noblest grape of Piedmont, Nebbiolo, like tradition demands derives its “doc” attribute from the name of the leading village in the production area: Albugnano, in the northern part of Asti province. The wine is intense red, turning into a garnet red with aging. Albugnano is winey, fruity, especially of dried fruit; spicy, mineral, savoury, complex. To the palateit is full-bodied and gently tannic, persistent and harmonious with a silky texture. It has an austere and classy characther.
