Description

Wine with deep ruby color with purple highlights, fruity aromas of cherry and raspberry, sweet aromas of quince paste and dried figs and spicy aromas of nutmeg, cloves and black pepper. On the palate, it is supple and round with silky tannins, flavors of red fruits and sweet spices and a long smooth finish

Terroir The combination of a particular composition of the soil, which allows low yields, and continental climate creates wines with intense flavors, balanced acidity and high concentration. The climate is continental with rainy cold winters and sunny, hot and dry summers. High diurnal temperature range during spring and summer. Clay-sand soil and slate subsoil making the vineyards "shallow" and providing excellent drainage. The cold air flow from Pindo’s mountain are reducing the moister and secure furthermore of infections. Protected Geographical Indication METEORA Wine The people of Theopetra Estate, having a vision of highlighting the regional wine culture, contributed decisively to the recognition of the term "Protected Geographical Indication Meteora" featuring a particular category of wines. The wines belonging to this category are made from grapes of strictly defined varieties grown in selected low-yield vineyards and vinified under specific conditions. The result is high quality wines with a character representative of the terroir of the region of Meteora.
