Vignobles Bonfils - Capitoul - OROS - rosé 2019
Description
Delicate pale pink with lovely glimmering highlight. The nose is pleasingly complex, with notes of small red fruits evolving to exotic fruit and spicy notes characteristic of the La Clape terroir. Smooth and fresh at the same time, the palate is full of fruit and spices (pepper, ginger) with immense volume and richness thanks to maturing on fine lees.

Vinification
The grapes are picked during the coolest hours of the night then directly pressed, protected from oxygen, to ensure the optimum preservation of aromas and control the intensity of color. The blending contributes to the aromatic complexity, whilst the terroir expresses spicy and fresh aromas. Ageing on fine lees following alcoholic fermentation creates supplementary aromatic complexity and volume.
Vineyard
Located in the heart of the largest classified natural site in Languedoc, Château Capitoul takes advantage of its unique location and stands as an exclamation point at the end of the peninsula. The “La Clape appellation” was recognised and elevated to the rank of vintage in 2015, joining the most prestigious French appellations with international renown.
TERROIR Its 100 hectares of pine forests and moors and 64 hectares of vines in one piece, come to surrender to the sea. This vineyard is strongly influenced by the maritime entries and produces wines of great freshness. The geological diversity of the soils, clayey-gravelly, limestone-marly and clayey-limestone, accentuates the power and elegance of its vintages.
