About
Being one of the worlds oldest wineries, Staffelter Hof has a rich history which we are honoured to continue and preserve. In 862 AD the great-grandson of Karl the Great, King Lothar II, donated the winery to the Abbey of Stavelot - hence the name Staffelter Hof. The last steward, our ancestor Peter Schneiders acquired the property in 1805 from Napoleon. Today our family attends to over 9.5 hectares of vines cultivated organically mainly in the steep slopes along the majestic Mosel River.
