- PAGO DEL VICARIO is located in Ciudad Real (Castilla), in the centre of Spain. By the banks of the river Guadiana there are 130 hectares of single vineyard with Tempranillo, Cabernet sauvignon, Graciano, Garnacha, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Chadonnay and Sauvignon blanc. The wines we produce here are blends, excepting a rosé made 100% with Petit Verdot (awarded as the Best Spanish Wine by the Repsol Guide for four years and awarded for the last two consecutive years as the Best Spanish wine by the International Federation of Wine Writers and Journalists (FIJEV)), a red wine of Petit Verdot called Bancal del Río with 8 months in French oak barrel, a Blanc de noir produced 100 % of Tempranillo and a sweet 100 % Merlot. Next to the winery there are a four stars Hotel and a Restaurant to promote our gastronomy and wine activities such as winery and vineyard visits, wine tastings…
