Vinification
R3 represents one of the best Riesling winegrowing regions in the world – the Rheingau. It reflects the geological structure of the area as well as the microclimate of our best vineyards in the towns of Oestrich, Winkel and Rüdesheim. R3 is a composition of grapes coming from all types of clay, loess, quartzite and slate soils.
Vineyard
The Rheingau is one of the most distinguished wine regions of the world. Moving from east to west, the fairly flat, dimpled landscape evolves into progressively steep slopes. Mild winters and warm summers; the vineyards are protected from cold winds by the forest-capped Taunus Hills and benefit from the heat-reflecting surface of the Rhine.
