Description
Elgin Valley which I fondly call Valley of the Clouds. Due to our unique topography which is high altitude (350 – 500 m above sealevel) valley surrounded by mountains near the Atlantic Ocean., cold south easterly winds causes clouds to form over the valley for most part of the year. This has a cooling effect that makes the “Valley of the Clouds”, Elgin the coldest wine growing region in South Africa. Sauvignoon Blanc thrives in this climatic conditions and hence the name Cloud Haven. The wine is a true expression of this terroir with a good balance of green fig, a touch of tropical fruits and a well defined natural acidity. Wild yeast fermented which ensures that this wine has a lots to offer on the palate and ending long and smooth.
