About
Kanonkop Wine Estate is a 4th generation family-owned estate, which has been handed down from father to son and is situated in the Stellenbosch region of South Africa’s Western Cape Province. To many, our wines are the best to be found in a country that has been continuously making wine since 1659, and some consider us as the South African equivalent of a Premier Cru or First Growth. The first wines bearing the Kanonkop label were released in 1973. Our production is focussed around the cultivars of Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon.
