About
From the beginning, we have farmed the extremes of California’s North Coast, compelled to discover something new. Poseidon Vineyard was planted at sea level in Napa Carneros in 1973 on what had been grazing land since the time of the missionaries. Obsidian Ridge Vineyard, half a mile in the sky at the farthest reaches of the Mayacamas Mountain Range, was planted in 1999 amid red volcanic soil shot with obsidian. Farming the extremes of the California’s North Coast, we seek to discover new ground and create our own unique expressions of wines that are complex, nuanced and delicious.
