Weingut Dr. Frey

About

The vinery Dr. Frey is located in Kanzem at the Saar-River, only 15km from Trier. For five generations the vinery is driven by the family. Founded in 1889 by Heinrich Josef Patheiger, it is now led by Katharina Frey-Treseler and Cord-Henrich Treseler. The organic production follows ECOVIN regulations. Riesling and Weißburgunder (pinot blanc) are the main wine types. In 2017 three new cultivars were planted (DonauRiesling, Sauvignac and Pinotin). Wine production is mainly located on steep slopes (90%).
