About
The Mehofer family has lived and worked on the Neudeggerhof estate for more than 300 years. Since 1992 all wines have been produced organically. Today, the tenth-generation is focusing on typical Austrian varieties such as Grüner and Roter Veltliner. Their favourite vineyard is Wadenthal – a unique site known for its great biodiversity. All wines are characterized by deep layers of „Loess” and a rather cool Austrian climate. Despite wine, the family follows a wide approach of sustainable living-e.g. extracts honey, grows trees for barrel production or fills their wines in light-glass-bottles.
