The winelands town of Paarl, 50 km from Cape Town, South Africa houses the international head office of Mountain River Wines, part of Mountain River Group, negociants in New World Wines since 1993. Situated in a historic home, dated 1860, the firm is in the heart of the Cape’s foremost vineyards where our grapes are meticulously tended. Having established an impeccable reputation as a supplier of high quality wines that are vinified and blended to our exact specifications, we now also bottle classic wines under our own prestigious labels namely Mountain River, Maankloof, and Zarafa. The Mountain River range is more the more exclusive range and Maankloof/Zarafa the everyday wine. Fortunately, our policy of souring from various vineyards enables us to ensure consistency. The Mountain River Wines are always elegant and refined in the classic tradition, with abundant, accessible fruit in the New world tradition.
