Description
Karl H. Johner -Intense red fruit (cherry / rose hip / cooked red fruit jelly) with delicate tobacco / cigar box and smoke from firewood. The wood from the new oak barrels is almost completely pushed back by the fruit. On the palate full-bodied and complex with red fruit jelly / sour cherries and delicate wild strawberries and some pepper. The tannin is full and soft with only subtle astringency. After a long time in the glass, the cigar box and the smoke come out stronger. The acidity is fine and very suitable. The finish is enormously long with red fruits, warm wood, vanilla and some coffee.
